Trump's Granddaughter Gets Professional Tips from Tiger Woods Before LPGA Debut
This young athlete boasts impressive online presence
Kai Trump can count on plenty of well-known supporters as she makes her professional golf debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is related to Donald Trump, obtained a sponsor's invitation to participate at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, a passionate golfer, owns multiple courses worldwide and regularly plays against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have tight competitions," she revealed.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"He essentially advised me to compete and have fun," she continued.
"To me, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending for the tournament. He's busy with presidential duties, making him somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions in 2024 and has the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
Yet she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He is the greatest golfer globally," the young golfer said.
"And he's a superior individual. He told me to go out there, have fun, and go with the flow."
Kai will face some of the biggest names in the sport at the Annika, including world number two the champion, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Officials commented that involving Kai helps introduce golf to wider groups, particularly with the next generation.
The young star maintains substantial online presence and just introduced her own clothing and lifestyle label.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
