British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Fatal Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos stated on Wednesday evening. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a devastating event that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
Joshua had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter had said on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on social media that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.
“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two friends who passed away as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.”
This update on his health arrives after the boxing community shared its support for the fighter in the aftermath of the heartbreaking incident.
